Questions and answers
How planning works, how booking works, and what to do if something isn’t right.
Planning your trip
Is it free?
Yes. Planning is free, and you don’t need an account.
How long does a plan take?
About a minute. Answer a few questions about your trip and your plan is built while you wait.
How are plans made?
We start from our own database of places, day trips and planned days, with opening days, travel times and who each place suits. Where it doesn’t cover something, such as a smaller town, a particular activity or a day trip we haven’t added yet, AI suggests it. Each day is then arranged around your dates, your group and your pace. Every week, we check the new places the AI has suggested against Google’s listings and add the ones that pass to our database, so future plans get better.
Which destinations can I plan?
Anywhere. Over a thousand popular cities and regions are in our database, with their sights, restaurants and day trips. For anywhere else, AI builds your plan from scratch. If you enter a country or a region, we’ll suggest cities to base yourself in.
Can I change my plan?
Yes. Swap any activity, restaurant or whole day trip from your plan, and the rest of the day adjusts around it.
Can I plan a trip to several cities?
Single-city trips with day trips are available now. Trips across several cities and countries are coming soon.
Can I share or save my plan?
Yes. Your plan has its own link, so you can bookmark it or send it to the people you’re travelling with.
Booking and providers
Do you book anything for me?
No. Each part of your plan links to providers such as Booking.com, GetYourGuide and Klook, and you book directly with the one you choose.
Are you a travel agent?
No. We don’t sell travel, take payments or make bookings, and we aren’t a tour operator. Your contract is with the provider you book with. Any financial protection, such as ATOL for flights and holidays, depends on the provider and what you book with them.
Who do I contact about a booking?
The provider you booked with. They hold your booking and payment, so they’re the ones who can change it, cancel it, refund it or sort out a problem on the day. Their contact details are in your booking confirmation.
Why do you link to several providers?
Every travel site plans your trip around what it sells. We don’t sell travel, so each part of your plan links to several well-known providers and you choose the one you prefer. We don’t check or compare prices ourselves; the provider’s page shows the live price.
How do you make money?
When you book through a link in your plan, the provider may pay us a commission. We don’t add any fees; the price is set by the provider.
Times, prices and access
Are the opening times and prices live?
No. Opening hours and travel times come from our own database and are reviewed regularly, and places the AI adds may not have them yet. Places can also change their hours, close or sell out at short notice, so always confirm with the provider before you go. Prices, availability and train timetables are shown live on the provider’s page.
What if a place is closed when I get there?
Your plan is a guide, so we can’t promise that a place will be open or as described on the day. Please report it using our contact form, so we can fix it for the next traveller. If you’d booked a ticket, contact the provider you booked with about a refund.
Can I rely on the accessibility information?
We use it to shape your plan, but needs differ and venues change. If step-free access or other needs matter to your trip, please check the details with the venue before you go.
Flight deals
Where do the flight deals come from?
They’re the lowest return fares found by other travellers in the last day or two, from third-party flight data. We refresh them every day.
Why is the price different when I click through?
Fares change and seats sell out, so the price on the flight search is the live one. Prices shown in US dollars are converted from the local currency and are approximate.
How do you choose my airport?
We use your approximate location to pick the nearest airport city with good flight choice. You can change it in the “Flying from” box, and we’ll remember your choice.
What does “below the usual price” mean?
We compare the fare with the fares we’ve seen on the same route recently. It’s flagged when it’s well below what that route usually costs.
Your data and emails
What do you keep about me?
Your trip details, so your plan’s link keeps working, and your name, email, airports and any preferences you choose only if you sign up for our deals emails. The planner doesn’t ask for your name or email. Our privacy policy has the details.
How do I stop the emails?
Use the unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email. It takes effect straight away.
How do I report a broken link or a mistake?
Use the form on our contact page. Tell us which plan and what’s wrong, and we’ll fix it.
Something not right?
Found a broken link, a closed place or a mistake in a plan? Report it here and we’ll fix it.
