1. Who we are

TripPlanInsider.com (“TripPlanInsider”, “we”, “us”) is run by SVC Capital Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16959364), registered office 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ. You can contact us at hello@tripplaninsider.com.

By using this website you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

2. What we do

We help you plan a trip. You tell us about your trip and we give you a suggested itinerary, with links to third-party providers (such as hotels, booking sites, tour and ticket sellers, rail and car hire companies, insurers and flight search) where you can book the parts you want.

We are not a travel agent, tour operator or booking agent. We don’t sell travel, take payments, make bookings on your behalf or put together packages. We are not a party to any booking you make with a provider.

3. Your plan is a guide

Plans are produced automatically, using software that includes artificial intelligence, from our own database of places and planned days and from information supplied by third parties. Where our database doesn’t cover a place, activity or day trip, your plan may include suggestions generated by AI that we haven’t yet checked. We take reasonable care to keep plans accurate and useful, and we plan around things such as known closing days, travel times and the needs you tell us about.

But places and services change, often without notice. We can’t guarantee that any information in a plan is complete, accurate or up to date, or that any place, attraction, restaurant, event, route or service will be open, available, accessible, safe, suitable for you or as described on the day. This includes opening times, prices, travel times, timetables, entry rules, age limits and accessibility details.

Before you book or travel, please confirm the details directly with the provider or venue. You are responsible for your own travel arrangements, including passports, visas, entry and health requirements, travel insurance and your own safety.

4. Booking with providers

When you follow a link from our site and book, your contract is with that provider, not with us. Their terms and conditions, prices, availability, cancellation and refund rules and privacy policy apply. Any questions, changes, cancellations, refunds or complaints about a booking should go to the provider.

Any financial protection for your booking, such as ATOL protection for flights and holidays, depends on the provider and on what you book with them. Please check with the provider before you book.

5. How we make money

Many of the links on our site are affiliate links. If you book through one, the provider may pay us a commission. We don’t add any fees; the price you pay is set by the provider. Commission never affects which places appear in your plan.

Each part of your plan links to several providers so you can compare them and choose. We don’t check or compare prices ourselves, and a provider appearing on our site isn’t an endorsement of that provider.

6. Flight deals

Fares on our flight deals page, homepage and newsletter are the lowest fares found by other travellers in the last day or two, supplied by a third party. They are not offers from us. Fares change and seats sell out, so a fare may no longer be available or may cost more when you search. The live price is the one shown on the flight search or the provider’s site.

Where a fare is described as below a route’s usual price, that compares it with fares we have seen on that route recently. Prices shown in a currency other than the one the fare was found in (for example, in US dollars) are converted using published exchange rates and are approximate.

7. Accessibility and suitability

We use the information you give us, such as step-free access, young children, fitness or dietary needs, to shape your plan. Needs differ and venues change, so this information is a guide only. If a need matters to your trip, please check the details with the venue or provider before you go.

8. Our responsibility to you

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be limited or excluded by law. Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected.

Subject to that, our planning service is provided free of charge, and to the extent the law allows we are not responsible for:

• any loss or cost arising from a place, service or event being closed, unavailable, changed or not as described;
• any booking you make with a provider, or anything the provider does or fails to do;
• the content of third-party websites that we link to;
• any loss that was not reasonably foreseeable when you used the site.

If you use the site for business purposes, we have no liability to you for any loss of profit, loss of business, business interruption or loss of business opportunity.

9. Using the site

Please use the site for your own personal travel planning. You must not misuse it, including by trying to access it in ways we don’t intend, overloading it, or copying or scraping plans or data from it in bulk. We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site at any time.

10. Our content

The content of this site, including plans, text, designs and our database, belongs to us or our licensors. You may save, print and share your own plans for personal use. Destination photos are from Pexels and are used under the Pexels licence. Provider names and logos belong to their owners.

11. Emails

If you sign up for our emails, we’ll send you the emails you signed up for. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email. How we handle your details is set out in our privacy policy.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they last changed. The terms in force when you use the site are the ones that apply.

13. Law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of the country where you live.
